From here, for here

Northeastern New Mexico has always been home.

Caleb was born and raised in Northeastern New Mexico with a cowboy and ranching background. That upbringing shaped how he understands this part of the state: its distances, its work, its families, and the value people place on plain dealing.

He attended New Mexico State University for his undergraduate education. His path later led north to Santa Fe, where he studied Chinese medicine at Southwestern Acupuncture College and graduated with honors.

The goal was never to build a clinic that could be anywhere. It was to bring this medicine home.

After completing his training, Caleb returned to Northeastern New Mexico and established Mystic Mountain Healthcare in Raton. The clinic brings together two things that are deeply important to him: respect for the traditional foundations of Chinese medicine and a practical responsibility to the community he knows.

A grounded clinical approach

Traditional thinking, practical care.

Chinese medicine asks the practitioner to look beyond a single label. Sleep, digestion, temperature, stress, pain, energy, and other systems may all help clarify the pattern behind a person’s concern.

Caleb uses that wider lens without losing sight of common sense. He explains his thinking in plain English, respects conventional medicine, and encourages appropriate medical evaluation or referral when something falls outside the clinic’s role.

  • Individualized care instead of a standard protocol
  • Respect for traditional and classical Chinese medicine
  • Clear explanations and room for questions
  • Appropriate collaboration with conventional medical care

The small-practice difference

Care does not pass through layers.

A solo clinic can stay flexible, consistent, and personal in a way that is difficult in a large system.

Continuity

You see the same practitioner who remembers the course of your care and adjusts it over time.

Time to listen

Your main concern matters, and so do the details that help put it in context.

Real accountability

The practitioner providing your care is also the person whose name is on the door.
